chicharons (fried pig skin)

so this week has been good, we had a baptism on saturday so on Seans birthday haha that was really good it was a young woman of 23, her family was baptised a few months ago and she didnt want to give of her old ways but we kept visiting her almost everyday just talking about everything and always about her baptism and how it would help her be happy and find the meaning to this life beyond just parties. so she finnally decided to be baptised so it was an awsome day. other than that this week we took a trip to the C.V. centro de visitantes aka visitors center at the temple with an investigator and recent converts it was awsome we watched the movie the Testaments it was awsome i love that movie, and then walked around and talked about everything it was great and seeing the "couple" missionaries made me think of papa and patty it was neat. so other than that this week the food is an interesting point its always a surprise but its usually good but there is one thing chicharon its like pork rhines its fried pig skin and they eat it a lot haha they put it in salsa verde and it ets all mushy and gross i absolutely hate it, but some types of chicharon is good, we just got back from eating gorditas de chicharon its pretty good here in mexico city we also eat a lot of chicken!!! in all forms! but i sure miss good steak. so this last friday we went to the hospital to donate blood to a little kid with leukimia but since it was the friday of the Holy Week which on this day they actually crucify someone acting as Jesus Christ its crazy thay act out that whole part of his life, but the hospital was closed so we walked 3 miles at 6 am for nothing haha and it was really cold that morning and so now i have the flu! it was horrible so today we went back to give blood but i am sick so i decided not to but my comp and another missionary did while we wated outside, and then while we were walking back home a member of our ward who was returning from seeing his daughter in the hospital who was born about 7 months ago and has been in the hospital the whole time with problems with her intestines, but anyways the member that picked us up has the COOLEST car its a 1950 chevy hot rod its awsome i love it he keeps trying to get me to drive it but im playing hard to get hahaha but other than that this week has been really good we´ve had some good success this week and time seemes to be going by soo fast sometimes but i love it here. so i hope you guys are doing better this week since all that bad luck you guys have been having. but i really hope you guys can go see Nekr and fam. plus lia and sam would love to see the grand canyon especially with snow it looks awsome, but anyways tell kim and adam how happy i am for them for this decision in their life to be as a family for eternity i wish i could be their but im helping people change to make that choice here. alright well i better get going i love you guys soo much and hope you guys get better soon give hugs to lia and sam and tell them i love them, tell dad happy birthday on saturday,
well Adios

broken camera :(

so yeah my new area is really cool...sometimes haha the bad part is its long and skinny and we live on one side and the church and the members all live on the other side like 5 miles away so thats not too cool. but my companion is from mexico his city is durango its like 5 hours from mazatlan and like 12 from D.F. and today his stake came to go to the temple for the week! haha so we went and saw them this morning, and other than that a super super sad story this week.... my camera yeah it broke!.... hahaha but i took it to this little shop to get fixed so hopefully its not too expensive i dont even know how it broke either i pulled it out one day and it wouldnt focus on anything and kept moving around all crazy like , so i took it too get fixed. other than that my tax money hasnt been deposited yet, how long does it take??? so yeah other than that conference was really good but it seemed like all the story were really sad but other than that really good i really enjoyed it. so yeah Macen sent me a letter a few weeks ago and im gonna send one to him tomorrow. so hows kim liking the ol spanish? if you could find her email for me that would be awsome if not its alright.
so your hearing stories of good ol mexico ehh, well everything that your hearing is true... the newpapers here have 2 things in them and nothing else SOCCER and DEAD PEOPLE thats all there is here it was crazy at first but now its normal but i dont know i dont feel scared to leave my house at night or anything it just feels normal, the drugs are everywhere i smell marijuana every day, the other day our zone was playing soccer and a bunch of homeless kids wanted to play against us and they were drunk and they all had joints ( smoking weed ) haha but nothng has ever happened to me just drunks trying to mess with us but im like 4 times the size of everyone here so im not too worried about anything happening to me plus im a missionary thats probably the best protection there is so dont worry. so yeah we get the Ensign almost every month so dont worry about that. it sounds like you guys had fun at the Zoo haha i loved that place when i was a kid.. heck i still do!! so kim finnally had the baby woo hoo thats good her name is pretty cool haha i like it. ive got 16 months left till i coome back, wow its going by soo fast im not going to want to leave i can already tell but other than that... i think its everything for the week i hope you guys have a good week and tell Sean "Feliz CumpleaƱos!" haha the big 40 haha well i love you guys soo much!! oh and i got that package with my shoe and pants and everything was there THANKS!!!
i love you guys

Culhuacan (new area)

well well well where to start this week.... sooo my new area, its in the zone Culhuacan and the ward is called Aztecas and our church building is like less than a block from the Aztec Stadium!!! its the huge stadium where we had the cultural event with the Prophet so thats super cool but its a little different because during church you can hear the roar of the 110,000 screaming mexicans LOUD and CLEAR!!! haha so its pretty cool, so our area is alright it is full of hills! up and down and up and down all day long its not too much fun i finnally got my first blister! haha but it might be from playing 5 hours of soccer...hmmm. so yeah my companion is Elder Reyes he is from Durango and he is full blooded MEXICAN! its funny we never have a dull moment together we are always having fun or causin trouble but its fun we were in the same district in my first area in Chalco and we both started our missions the same day so its cool and we get along pretty good. so if you look on the internet for my area look for the "estadio Azteca" my area also has the big University of mexico called UNAM thats in our area too so its cool but the members are super strick haha theyre always getting after us for something haha they are worse than our President but its also good in a way too i guess it helps us stay on task haha so yeah thats the happenings this week in my new area. so also when i got here we had a bunch of really good investigators that had been to church a bunch and everything but my comp and his old comp were scared to invite people to take a baptism date so when i got here that was the first thing i did we went to most of the really good investigators and i put baptism dates with 6!!!! haha so yeah on sunday before the services at 8 we had a baptism of an older man it was really neat, and weve got 1or 3 more this week hopefully. and yeah so im doing really good but really you had a dream about me on saturday night,,,,,(from Cindy - Saturday night I woke up in the middle of the night with a feeling that Josh was sitting on my bed, he wasn't upset or anything just sitting there, I couldn't shake that feeling of his presence so I got up and said a prayer for him and tried to get some sleep. I told him about my dream and wondered if things were ok. I don't know if my prayer helped him or not, but it helped me, what a blessing),,,, that night we had a person with a baptism date say she didnt want to get baptized about 45 minutes before her baptism so that wasnt very fun and then our distict leader chewed us out for it so that was no fun, so that night i was really really frustrated, but its all good its the life of a missionary. but i dont know what your hearing about mexico???? i dont really hear anything about it here haha tell me what youve been hearing im curious.... but yeah its not too bad down here nothing too bad has happened to me so yeah but let me know and ill tell you how it is down here in good ol´mexico. well thats that for today
bueno pues espero que tiene un muy bien dia!!!
i love you guys soo much
